Advanced Product Design Project

Goal: Design and create an efficient storage solution for wheelchair users that accommodates both everyday items and additional belongings, enabling independent use.

​Contributions: Product designer and engineer

​Skills: Product development, CAD modeling and simulations, GD&T drawings, rapid prototyping, manufacturing processes, and basic engineering principles.​​​

Rotary Vane Pump Design

Engineering and Product Innovation Center

Goal: Build a rotary vane pump using various manufacturing processes and then redesign it for Elmer's glue application.

​Contributions: Machinist and designer

​Skills: Manufacturing processes, 3D CAD redesign, GD&T drawings, BOMs and production cost​​​

B.U.M.E.S Optimization and Vision Integration

Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Project

Goal: Optimize an automated manufacturing process to reduce cycle time, enhance efficiency, and increase throughput.

​Contributions: Team lead and process engineer

​Skills: UR robots programing, statistical analysis, CAM, CNC machining, parts sorting using vision, and lean manufacturing​​

Goal:  Automation for the loading/unloading, handling, and data logging of microtiter plates​

Contributions: Mechanical designer â€‹

Skills: 3D CAD models, Pugh chart, motor/actuator sizing, flow chart control, and financial justification​

Capstone Project

Goal: Design a mechanism that automatically presses elevator buttons. 

​Contributions: Manufacturing and testing lead

​Skills: Manufacturing processes, mockup and prototype development, creating BOMs and user manuals, teamwork, and meeting deadlines  â€‹
